What a weekend!

The first of many busy weekends came to an end mid afternoon on Father's Day with one extra piece of flooring.  Matt and I were so fortunate to have the help of family and friends to complete what turned into an all weekend workathon.  What got done?  All our painting, hanging of our slatwall, and installation of our floor.  The store is finally coming together.  A huge thank you to Steve, Matt's dad Joe, Kevin, Tim, Jason, Matt Johnson, Megan, and Beth for all your hard work and effort.  Without that help, we would still be buried under a mound of wood, confused, and thirsty.

Also, I wanted to highlight of few of the other things going on right now.  Our sign will be completed in the next couple of weeks and should be installed fairly close to when we open.  We also have been buying up all of our displays and racks over the past few months.  The majority of what we have bought is previously used in order to recycle perfectly good displays and create less waste.  They may have some cuts and bruises, but that adds character and the more we can reuse, the less there is to throw away.  Matt and I are catching up on some behind the scenes activities that still need to be completed, but plan to be in the store starting next week when the construction has been finished.  We will be able to move in product sometime toward the end of next week and barring any major disruptions, we will open shortly there after.  Keep an eye on our site as some new pages and announcements will be made soon.

That's all for now,

Jonathan

Finally!

Yesterday was a great day.  It was the first day we were allowed in the store to do some work!  So Matt and I celebrated by pulling an all nighter.  We went to Lowe's yesterday at 9am and ended up leaving the store this morning a little after 5.  We are so excited to have access to the space for our buildout that we just couldn't leave.  I can't think of a better way to spend an evening.  A Hound Dog's Pizza, a few Magic Hat #9's, 1,500sq ft of paint and some great music.  Along those lines,  Jethro Tull is now available on iTunes and I would recommend taking a listen.

For those whose travels take you by the shop, you will notice a couple posters up in the windows and the windows themselves covered with paper.  (Don't want to give it all away just yet.)  More pics are being prepared for the site so you will be able to see some of the progress that is being made.  Thanks for stopping by.

Stay tuned, the wait will soon be over...
