October is GREAT!
The Autum chill is in the air, leaves are falling, insects are mostly gone; must be our favorite time of year! As the seasons make another change the store continues to evolve. Our Summer clearance sale wrapped up a couple of weeks ago but there are still some great deals on closeout gear and clothing as we transistion to Winter mode. We've already been shopped pretty hard for cold weather gear by all the bicycle commuters who pass by our store everyday.
September and October are notoriously slow months for retail, so both of us were able to escape to enjoy the outdoors for more than a few days. Meg and I took the dogs on a jaunt along the Appalachian Trail in Southern Virginia where they met wild ponies for the first time in the Grayson Highlands. Jonathan and Beth enjoyed camping for nearly a week up in New York and from what I heard, the Big Agnes sleeping bag for two is a winner!
